Let's be honest: turning official documents, heavy legislation, or dense procedures into an engaging online course is no walk in the park. When you hand over a project like this, especially to international institutions, there's always a bit of suspense. Did we manage to make the information easy to digest? Will this course actually keep people awake in front of their screens?
Recently, we got our answer directly from two of our partners, the Council of Europe and the Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova (CALM). Both institutions rated our work 5 out of 5 stars, but beyond the scores, it was their actual feedback that made our week.
When things just go... without the stress For the Council of Europe team, the initial brief was fairly straightforward: they wanted a simple, clean online course. We pushed the boundaries just a bit to add that layer of interactivity that truly makes a difference.
Olesea Moghilda, Project Officer, told us the final result exceeded their expectations:
"The visual design makes the content engaging and easy to follow, while interactive elements help learners stay involved and better understand the topic. The course is easy to navigate, making it accessible to everyone."
But what really warmed our hearts was how she described the day-to-day work with us: "Ascendia is a company that is easy to work with from start to finish of your project. Their team listens to your needs, answers your questions quickly, and makes the whole process smooth and stress-free. We look forward to working together again!"
"At the beginning, I was skeptical..." That’s what Catalina Scortescu, Legal Expert at CALM, confessed to us. And we completely get it! It is entirely normal to wonder if a tech-focused team will grasp the nuances of legal texts.
This is where our favorite part of the job comes in. We don’t just copy-paste text into an app. We read it, we suggest structural improvements, and we rack our brains to make sure it makes sense for the learner. Catalina noticed exactly that:
"At the beginning I was skeptical, but after the delivery of the digitalized I Module of the course, and some interaction with the Ascendia team I was convinced that I can rely on their professionalism. I appreciate the initiative for improvements of the text and structure of the course."
Her conclusion was exactly the kind of validation any team hopes for at the end of the day: "The team showed diligence related to all aspects of the course, including content, thus taking responsibility for the quality of the digitalized course as a whole product."
We love working with people who care about the quality of their projects as much as we do. A big thank you to the Council of Europe and CALM for an excellent collaboration!
