Ascendia expresses its commitment to developing its digital educational products and services in accordance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards for people with disabilities. This statement reflects our promise to align with accessibility requirements and international best practices, with the goal of improving access to our educational resources and technologies.
For Ascendia, accessibility means that our digital educational platforms and resources—such as LIVRESQ, CoffeeLMS, and our custom-developed projects—can be used without barriers by all individuals, including those with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. Our products include software applications, educational materials, digital lessons, and interactive resources, while our services encompass access to and management of educational content, communication between teachers and learners, as well as technical support.
As part of our active commitment, we will develop an E-learning Content Accessibility Guide, designed for educators and creators of educational content. This guide will provide clear recommendations regarding structure, language, images, multimedia, and interactivity. The goal is for all digital lessons and materials to be easy to use and perceptible for all users.
To ensure accessibility, our products and services follow several fundamental principles. Information is written in clear and accessible language, with additional explanations provided whenever specialised terms are necessary. Our products are suitable for individuals with various types of disabilities. The digital interfaces are intuitive, compatible with assistive technologies, and designed so that text and images are easily perceivable, offering appropriate contrast and readable fonts. Our support team is also prepared to assist users with special needs.
Ascendia continuously works to improve the accessibility of its products and services through internal and external evaluations and by analysing user feedback. Our teams undergo periodic training on accessible UX principles and digital accessibility. We consistently explore how we can improve the experience of users with disabilities and implement changes aimed at removing barriers.
